About Talk Therapy Service

Talk Therapy Service provides Counselling and Psychotherapy in a supportive and non-judgmental environment which facilitates clients’ growth. Mostly my clients set the agenda and determine the pace and direction of the talk therapy. This can help foster a sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance, enabling the client to develop a greater sense of autonomy and self-direction. The approach I use is directed by a clients’ goals.

We can all get stuck navigating life changes and demands at various times on our journey to wholeness. My training and qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy enable me to provide a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their feelings in support of being a truer reflection of who they really are and living a life they love.

Frequently trauma interrupts our emotional development and impacts our physical wellbeing. Offering Psychodynamic Counselling helps clients gain insight into their unconscious patterns and conflicts, and develop a greater awareness of how these issues may be impacting their life.

Working together, I can help you process your thoughts and feelings so you have a better understanding of yourself, the impact of your environment and how you relate to others.

Although I work with different issues that people face, my work as a Psychotherapist at Talk Therapy Service is working with the impact of trauma; helping to make the really hard stuff easier to sit with and holding a space to process memories, thoughts and feelings as well as finding new ways of coping.

Trauma is going through very stressful, frightening or distressing events that overwhelm our mind and body; it’s important to remember that we all handle traumatic events differently. Using a whole person approach, I integrate different ways of working, depending on the individual.

Talk Therapy Service offers a safe space for you to explore your past, get curious about why you cope in the ways you do and find new ways forward. I am all about being human and genuine, as well as safe and ethical. Talk Therapy Service can provide you with the support and encouragement you need to explore your challenges and find new ways forward.

Having trained and spent years working with clients within the fitness and well-being industry, I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy in Behaviour Change Management. Effective techniques are used in support of changing unwanted behaviours for more desirable ones.

Exploring what stops clients from being the person they want to be, identifying negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour helps clients develop strategies to challenge and change these unwanted patterns of behaviour.

Facilitating clients to experience more freedom internally, gives strength to make changes in the day to day running of their lives. This can be very beneficial for clients looking for a shorter term alliance.
